Roger Farrington is a Boston-based commercial photographer and media relations consultant, specializing in publicity, celebrity, and special events promotions. Roger’s career spans several decades working for commercial and cultural clients and media outlets. Roger’s images have appeared in national and international magazines, newspapers, as well as online, including Time, Newsweek, People, Town & Country, Parade, Rolling Stone, Paris Match, New York Times, GQ and Vogue, and the Boston Globe.
On August 7th, 1980 Farrington documented John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s historic first day of recording sessions for Double Fantasy, which was to become the famous ex-Beatle’s last album. The photos were published world-wide.
Besides John & Yoko, other clients include; Cartier Inc., Chanel, The Ritz-Carlton Boston, The Boston Public Library, Taj Boston, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Wang Center for the Performing Arts, Isabella Steward Gardner Museum, MFA, Novartis, VIACOM/National Amusements, Boston Architectural College, Visiting Nurse Association, and Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Roger is currently cataloging his historical archive and collaborating with curators and editors to publish a hard-cover book of his work.
